Mission: We will provide a sanctuary(a beautiful, secure and loving group transitional home) that offers HOPE (Healing, Opportunity, Peace & Empowerment) to single women (and their children) who are committed to achieving self-sufficiency.

Mt. Hope Sanctuary, Inc. was established in December of 2003 by three women:  Candace Lundberg, Kimberly Snyder and Jeni Hanken. Knowing that God was leading  them in the direction of providing ministry to women, the three had organized an  Outreach Women's ministry three years prior through their church. Their  experiences in that Outreach ministry opened their eyes to an urgent need in  their community to minister especially to single women and their children.  Realizing that they needed to be faithful to the Lord to meet the needs He put before them and also that the needs were greater than any single church could  support, the three set out to organize a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry whose
mission was to provide a sanctuary that offered HOPE (Healing, Opportunity,  Peace & Empowerment) to single women who were committed to achieving  self-sufficiency.

In August 2006, Mt. Hope Sanctuary, Inc. took
possession of the home which serves as the "sanctuary" mentioned in Mt. Hope's  mission statement. And after renovating this home to make it 'fit' our needs, we opened the Doors of Hope to the women and children we were serving on November 10th, 2007.
